Jharkhand Step-Up Trust was registered under the Indian Trust Act 1882, on 10th February 2004 in Barajamda, Jharkhand and remains under the ambit of public and charitable purposes for overall development of society. Registered under Section 12AA & 80G of Income Tax Act, 1961, in April, 2019, with CIT Patna, Jharkhand Step-Up Trust has the authority to receive donations under exemption of tax in the same act. Jharkhand Step-Up Trust is also registered since 2018 with NITI Aayog, Government of India.
Jharkhand Step-Up Trust is a non – political, non-profit organization with the following aims and objectives –
- To work for the overall development of the poor and marginalized sections of the society with special attention on women upliftment.
- To develop pressure groups at the grassroots level for proper implementation of Government Programs.
- To work for preparedness and relief for natural calamities or disasters.
- To work for safeguarding minorities.
- To educate, organize and empower the women, poor un-organized men and the youth and to promote them as a liberating force aimed at social justice, economic growth and self-reliance.
- To work for relief of disabled persons and elderly with the help of donors.
- To organize and conduct seminars, work-shops, and meetings on relevant issues.
- To promote and develop community health and well-being by the way of health education, and health training awareness campaigns.
- To execute various health programs in various rural areas with the help of the Block Development Officer and the District Head.
- To conduct and arrange blood donation camps, eye operation camps, pulse polio camps, family planning camps and medical aid to the poor and needy with the help of the district/block medical head.
- To develop legal awareness in villages about their rights and conduct legal camps with the help of the concerned authorities.
- Any other activity as per the need of the time, society and people for the development of the society and for the national interest.
